Karl Scheucher, chair of the Finance Committee, presented the committee’s April report and appended financial material to the minutes. The report recorded total fund balances of $8,639,902 as of March 2026, a decline of $162,154 from the prior year, and referenced fund-trajectory graphics and monthly surplus/deficit performance charts included in the appendix.
Scheucher said the village is placing funds in higher interest-yielding investments; the appendixed notes cite a Star Ohio annualized yield of 3.84% as of March 9, 2026, with an average days-to-maturity of 49.4. He also reported that negotiations with Willoughby Hills Fire/EMS for the village’s contract are ongoing.
The minutes state that a full copy of the finance report is appended to and incorporated in the meeting minutes. The appendix lists fund allocations and other graphics, but the minute text does not include a line-item breakdown in the body of the minutes.
