Waite Hill mayor outlines proposed EMS contract with Willoughby Hills; council to consider approval

Mayor Ryan W. Cox told the Council of the Village of Waite Hill on March 9 that a proposed EMS/Fire/Rescue contract with the City of Willoughby Hills would cost the village $80,000 in the first year and include a $5,000 capital contribution to the city.
Under the terms described in the minutes, the contract would include a 75-run cap after which each subsequent run would cost the village $750. The minutes state that when the contract is finalized Council will be asked to approve it; the minutes do not record a final vote at the March 9 meeting.
At the same meeting, Service Director Bob Haynik reported February had been quiet and the council considered declaring a skid steer loader surplus; Mr. Scheucher moved to declare the machine surplus and Mr. Doty seconded. The minutes record the motion and second but do not include a roll-call outcome for the surplus equipment item.
The council later moved into executive session to discuss pending or imminent litigation, compensation and property matters and reconvened; no decisions resulting from that executive session are recorded in the minutes.
