Waite Hill approves several residential projects; communications plan for new residents underway

Mayor Ryan W. Cox reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission and Architectural Board of Review approved several residential projects at the Nov. 10 meeting: installation of a generator for a residence on Creawood Forest; conversion/remodel of a barn for a residence on Metcalf Road; and improvements to a garage on Rollin Road.
Abby Hiltsley said she is preparing a communication to new residents that will identify which projects require village approval (for example, zoning or exterior changes that alter appearance) and which routine maintenance projects do not.
Adam Bowden, reporting for the Communications and Community Outreach Committee, said discussions have taken place regarding the Waite Hill Foundation and reported that more than 200 people attended this year’s village Halloween party; he said Christmas tree-lighting programs will likely be scheduled in future years.
