Larchmont board approves reappointments, sets 2025 meeting calendar at reorganization meeting

The Village of Larchmont Board of Trustees approved a slate of reappointments and administrative motions at its Dec. 2 reorganization meeting.

The mayor announced and moved to approve a combined package that included reappointing Justin Datino as village registrar/clerk for a two‑year term expiring December 2026 and reappointing James Cozorla as treasurer and village receiver of taxes. The board also approved appointing Maria Broderick as deputy village treasurer, Daniel Whitmore as village assessor, James Sink as village prosecutor, Jim Stout as village attorney and Vince Toomey as village labor attorney. Brian Reilly was appointed licensing agent and Chris McNerney was named emergency coordinator. The mayor also detailed trustee committee and liaison assignments for the coming year.

The board passed a set of administrative motions covering bank depositories and operational details. The motions designated J.P. Morgan Chase and TD Bank as official depositories for village funds, authorized Treasurer Cozorla and Deputy Treasurer Broderick as authorized signatories on village accounts, set regular board meetings for once a month at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building (with tentative 2025 dates announced), and scheduled the Memorial Day parade for May 22, 2025, at 7 p.m. The Journal News was designated the official village newspaper for legal notices.

All items in the omnibus motion were moved and seconded and approved by voice vote; the chair called for 'Aye' with no recorded opposition.

The board also made a lighthearted declaration naming the village's official tree (described in the meeting as “the large tree”). The meeting record shows no public comments and closed after the board approved the Nov. 18, 2024 minutes and voted to adjourn.
