The Village of Larchmont Board of Trustees adopted Local Law No. 6-2024 on Nov. 18 to replace the phrase "parking licenses" with "parking permits" throughout the village code.
The board opened a public hearing on the wording change and, after no public objections, closed the hearing. The mayor said the shift is administrative in nature because the village issues permits rather than licenses. The mayor moved to pass the local law, the motion was seconded, and it was approved by voice vote.
The change was described by the mayor as a clarification of existing practice; no amendments or substantive policy changes were proposed during the hearing. The law was designated Local Law No. 6-2024 at passage.
