The Village of Lake Barrington Board of Trustees on June 9 adopted a proclamation honoring Karen Lambert for her years of leadership at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital and her community outreach work.
The proclamation, read aloud by the President, credited Lambert with hospital expansion, development of medical services including a cardiac unit and renovated emergency department, establishment of a center for integrated medicine, and charitable programs that provided meals to food pantries. The board moved to approve the proclamation and passed it by roll call. Karen Lambert was invited to attend but had a scheduling conflict; trustees said they will present the framed proclamation to her at a later date.
The board thanked the hospital for community outreach efforts and noted Lambert’s retirement at the end of June and the hospital’s incoming successor expected to start in July.
