Staff told the board that the draft appendix consolidates currently scattered fee references so customers can locate applicable charges in one place, and that outdated provisions—such as a meter‑test deposit requirement and reference to loaning a hydrant wrench—would be removed because factory testing and current operations render those provisions unnecessary.
The ordinance also includes updated permit and inspection fees adjusted to reflect current payroll costs and a recommendation from the parks and recreation committee to align facility rental fees with a modest cost‑of‑living adjustment. The ordinance will go into effect July 3, 2026, unless otherwise revised by the board by formal action.
