Consultant recommends contract award for pavilion renovation; village seeks $300,000 DCEO grant

James Fraghia of Vision Construction and Consulting walked trustees through a detailed packet that highlighted the project’s northeast addition, proposed building elevations, structural steel reinforcement and the planned removal of one existing wall as part of the renovation. The Building Commissioner said the new vestibule will increase and improve the banquet‑hall area’s layout and appearance.
Trustee Teets presented current expenditures and invoices the Board is being asked to consider: a final installment payment to Vision Construction and Consulting, Inc. for $224,760.24; a $12,500 proposal from ARRP Trucking & Hauling, Inc. for asphalt work at the Stone Park Sports & Entertainment Complex; and AJD Invoice #2025-352 for $17,890.90 for a ComEd-required concrete pad at Casa Italia needed to bring in new electrical service.
Clerk Laura Cassidy‑Hatchet told the Board the village has applied for a $300,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to help offset some renovation costs. The minutes record a contract‑award recommendation but do not show a final vote or contract execution at this meeting.
