David Smith, who lives directly across the street, told commissioners he gathered signatures from roughly 19 neighbors in opposition and requested a continuance to allow more outreach; several commissioners agreed that a neighborhood meeting would be useful.
Commissioner Powers moved to continue the item to the commission's July meeting (July 23); the motion was seconded and the commission voted to defer the case so the applicant can meet with neighbors and return with revisions or additional information.
