Executive Director Charlie Baker introduced a proposal to add an Executive Director evaluation process to CCRPC's personnel policy, recommending a timeline that begins with anonymous surveys of staff and board members in January–February and culminates in a March evaluation and an April salary discussion ahead of budget planning.
Baker asked the committee to consider who else should provide feedback; Bard Hill recommended limiting respondents to staff and board plus key annual contacts and making the process blind to preserve anonymity. Chair Chris Shaw and the committee agreed on that framework and asked Baker to draft policy language for the next meeting.
Following a closed executive session to discuss personnel (entered at 7:11 p.m. and adjourned at 7:30 p.m.), the committee voted to recognize employee achievement and authorized the Executive Director to spend up to 100% of the FY25 salary budget for staff awards (as determined by the Executive Director) and for the Executive Director awards as determined by the Executive Committee. The motions passed unanimously.
