Dedham Selectmen approve warrants, accept reports and appoint John Lear to recreation committee

The meeting opened at 5:31 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a roll call listing Timothy Scribner, Paul Miller and Richard Leavitt as present. A motion to adopt the minutes of the Feb. 5, 2026 Selectmen’s Meeting passed, recorded as Paul Miller (mover) and Richard Leavitt (second); vote 3–0–0.
The minutes list reports presented by Fire Chief Zack Cronkhite, Treasurer Michelle Fish and Alexandria Treworgy (CEO/LPI). A motion to accept the reports as presented passed 3–0–0 (mover Richard Leavitt, second Paul Miller).
The board also approved a set of payables and payroll warrants (listed in the minutes as 2026-80 through 2026-88). A motion to approve the warrants as presented passed 3–0–0 (mover Richard Leavitt, second Paul Miller).
Under appointments, the Selectmen voted to appoint John Lear to the Joint Recreation Committee for a term expiring June 30, 2027; that motion passed 3–0–0. The minutes do not record additional biographical details about Lear.
Announcements at the meeting reminded residents that the first Budget Committee meeting would follow the Selectmen’s meeting that night; that the second half of 2025 taxes are due March 19, 2026; and that properties with unpaid 2023 taxes will be foreclosed on March 27, 2026.
