At its April 7, 2025 meeting the Tremont Select Board accepted a management plan intended to support alewife passage at Seal Cove Pond and authorized reserve funding for a structural fix.
A motion by Select Board member Eric Eaton, seconded by Select Board member McKenzie Jewett, accepted the Seal Cove Pond Alewife Management Plan as presented; the motion passed unanimously. The board then voted, on a motion by Mr. Eaton and seconded by Ms. Jewett, to authorize using the Fishway Reserve to fund construction of a beaver deceiver. That motion also passed unanimously.
The minutes record acceptance of the plan and the funding authorization but do not include technical specifications, cost estimates, or a construction timeline in the meeting record. Those details were not specified in the minutes and will be subject to later administrative follow-up.
