Southampton committee approves property sales, license transfers and fireworks contract

The Southampton Township Committee on April 21 adopted a package of routine resolutions and licenses covering property sales, license transfers, tax adjustments and event contracting.
The Committee authorized sale by public bid of four tax‑acquired properties (Block 1902, Lot 36.01; Block 2201, Lots 6.03 and 10; Block 508, Lot 13). Administrator Parker Umba said the properties were obtained through tax sale and the tax assessor helped set minimum bids; proceeds will be deposited into the general fund to offset lost tax revenue.
The Committee approved a person‑to‑person and place‑to‑place transfer of alcoholic plenary consumption license No. 0333‑33‑001‑014 from Otts Burns Venture LLC to Gateway to the Pines 206 LLC (Resolution 2026‑48). A series of tax‑collector adjustments under the Totally Disabled Veteran Exemption (Resolutions 2026‑49 through 2026‑54) were adopted; Mayor William Raftery publicly thanked veterans after the votes.
Licenses for storage containers at several commercial addresses and a piggery license for 10 Big Hill Road for James Messner were approved. The Committee also awarded a contract to Pyrotecnico Fireworks for a display on July 11, 2026 (rain date July 12) under Resolution 2026‑60.
All listed resolutions and licenses were adopted by roll call vote as recorded in the minutes. The Committee directed staff to carry out the sale‑by‑bid process and procurement steps required for contracted events and license transfers.
