Tremont Select Board approves warrants, appoints Housing Authority member and hires auditor

The Tremont Select Board on July 7 approved a slate of fiscal and administrative items, appointed a Housing Authority member and authorized the town’s annual audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
On unanimous motions the board approved FY25 warrants #135–#141 and FY26 warrants #1–#3 as listed in the meeting record. Example line items recorded in the minutes include FY25 warrant #135 for $23,942.96, #138 for $78,546.00 and FY26 warrant #3 for $144,239.70. The board approved the warrant package by motion of Kevin Buck, seconded by McKenzie Jewett.
The board also appointed Ward MacKenzie to the At-Large seat on the Housing Authority, with a term expiring June 30, 2030; that motion was moved by Kevin Buck and seconded by McKenzie Jewett and passed unanimously. The Select Board contracted with James W. Wadman, CPA, to complete the town’s annual audit for the year ending June 30, 2025, authorizing the chair to sign the proposal; that motion was moved by McKenzie Jewett and seconded by Kevin Buck and passed unanimously.
The Select Board publicly thanked the Lobster Boat Race Committee and volunteers for organizing the Backside Blast events and acknowledged businesses and donors who supported the weekend. The board confirmed its next regular meeting for Monday, August 11, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned the July 7 meeting at 6:30 p.m.
