The China Select Board voted unanimously Sept. 19 to approve a catering and liquor permit for The Proper Pig to serve at Erskine Academy’s homecoming on Sept. 21, 2024. Janet Preston moved to approve the permit and Blane Casey seconded; the motion passed with five ayes and no nays.
The action was taken during a brief special meeting called to address the single permit request. Those recorded present were Chair Wayne Chadwick and Select Board members Janet Preston, Brent Chesley, Jeanne Marquis and Blane Casey; Town Manager Rebecca Hapgood was present.
