The Greenburgh Town Board opened two public hearings Wednesday on proposed extensions of sewer districts and agreed to leave the record open for seven days in both cases while staff seeks engineer letters.
The first hearing concerned an application by Paige Brodsky to include a property on Sunil Road in the Fenimore sewer district so that the house and garage could connect to municipal sewer. Officials said they have requested an engineer's letter and, because it was not available at the meeting, the board voted to close the hearing while keeping the record open for seven days to allow the letter to be submitted.
A separate hearing covered an application by Michael and Karen Tevrobar to include a four‑lot subdivision at the end of Van Cott (Bancata/Win Winsome) Avenue in a sewer district. The applicant described plans to connect the lots to an existing sewer at the top of the hill. The board took the same procedural step — closing the hearing and leaving the record open for seven days for an engineer's submission.
Town counsel and staff indicated that, if the engineer's letter is not received within that window, the board would be unable to take a final vote at its next meeting. There were no substantive public objections on the record at Wednesday's session.
The board emphasized that leaving the record open is a procedural step to ensure adequate documentation before any decision is made.
