Mount Gilead proclaims March 2026 Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

The proclamation—given to Ann from the county board—notes that Ohio’s county boards of developmental disabilities were established in 1967 and that the Marorrow County board serves more than 350 people. The mayor urged citizens to foster access to education, housing, employment and recreational activities so people with developmental disabilities can live independently and contribute to the community.
Guests from the county board and local providers attended, and council members and attendees wore orange to mark the awareness month. The mayor presented the proclamation and invited a photo with attendees.
