Orrville City Council swears in members, votes to seat Jason Lives to Ward 2

In his administrative report later in the meeting, the mayor announced a slate of board and commission appointments and reappointments, including reappointments to the Board of Zoning and Appeals (Lori Visanson and Dale Gough, three-year terms), the Public Utilities Board (Nathan Olmstead, five-year term), Civil Service (Carol, six-year term), the Design Review Board (Darren Johnson and Todd Wallace, three-year terms), the Shade Tree Commission (Jean Polley, three-year term), the Income Tax Review Committee (annual terms for Steve Knox and Chris Conway) and the Nuisance Abatement Committee (one-year terms for Latoya Herb, John Morrison, Ron Desiker and Doug McGuire).
The council approved the Dec. 15 meeting minutes earlier in the agenda. The chair closed the meeting by announcing the next regular Orrville City Council meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.
