Dresden Select Board approves minutes, warrants and appoints Recreation Committee member

At its Feb. 10 meeting the Dresden Select Board approved Jan. 27 minutes and three warrants, appointed Linda Biden to the Recreation Committee, approved a small tax abatement and adjourned at 5:33 p.m.
The Dresden Select Board on Feb. 10 approved the minutes from Jan. 27 and voted to accept three warrants covering accounts payable, payroll and water, the board’s chair said.
Town Administrator Nicole Rogers told the board the warrants include funds for the Veterans' Memorial project, a recommended payment to Tax Bandits (suggested by Farmingdale Treasurer Mary Andrews) for preparation of W-2s and 1099s that must be filed electronically, and a payment to the Lincoln County Registry to discharge liens. Lisa Hewitt moved to approve the warrants and Keith Allen seconded; the motion passed.
During committee reports the board approved the appointment of Linda Biden to the Recreation Committee. Lisa Hewitt moved to appoint Biden; Keith Allen seconded and the board voted to confirm the appointment. Recreation Committee chair or representative Peter Walsh said the committee is planning SummerFest for Sunday, July 19.
Nicole Rogers presented a small tax abatement prepared by Joe, the assessor. Lisa Hewitt moved to approve the abatement; Keith Allen seconded and the board voted to approve. Rogers noted Joe will also review the revaluation request for proposals to ensure it is complete.
The board concluded routine business and adjourned at 5:33 p.m. The next Select Board meeting is scheduled for Feb. 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Pownalborough Hall.
