Alan Moeller agreed to assist Griffin. The proposal also included the possibility of shifting Summerfest and other events to September to capture steadier weather and to avoid clashes with other regional festivals.
The committee did not vote on formal approval of a festival budget or schedule; Griffin said he would lead planning and further discussions would occur at upcoming meetings. Members noted landowner and vendor coordination would be required, naming Marcia Lomakin as a property owner whose site might be used for expanded activities.
The committee closed the discussion with a directive to check calendar conflicts and return with a more detailed plan at a future meeting.
