At its June 11 meeting, the Ventnor City Commission approved a slate of consent resolutions covering refunds, parking amendments, contract awards and several routine personnel and licensing items.
Among the items adopted were:
- A contract award to Gemini General Contracting for the Winchester Avenue water-main replacement (phase one) with a not-to-exceed figure stated in the meeting as $1.2 million. City staff noted three bidders submitted close pricing, which officials said reflected well-prepared specifications.
- A change order and related additional inspection fees with Remington & Vernick Engineers for structural repairs during the Siri Avenue water tower repaint project, cited in the meeting at about $5,500 for additional inspection services.
- A final change order for delivery of boardwalk lumber related to a State of New Jersey grant; staff said the last batch of lumber taken into city possession added nearly $17,000 to complete current and phase-two pieces.
The commission also approved payroll for May 30–June 12, 2026 in the amount of $696,477.73 and bills noted in the meeting record as $1,399,375.16; both measures passed by unanimous roll call. A set of liquor-license renewals (resolutions 173–180) and other routine administrative matters were approved as part of the consent calendar.
Staff said the water tower was returned to service the previous Friday and that additional capital bond ordinances will be forthcoming for public works and water/sewer needs. The meeting record shows the consent slate was adopted by the three-member commission with all votes recorded as 'yes.'
