The Sandown Heritage Commission on May 7 discussed plans to market merchandise and raise funds for the town’s 250th anniversary, including setting up a table at a community fundraiser and using digital payment options.
Pamela Goodrow, speaking for the commission, said members have been tracking sales and inventory for tumblers and T-shirts and urged volunteers to contact Fran Rosenau to collect purchased items. A committee member offered to set up a table at a Sandown Republican Committee fundraiser planned for a weekend in May or June, and volunteers discussed using cash and Venmo for payments.
The commission reported merchandise counts during the meeting: several tumblers and T-shirts remain available for sale. Members discussed logistics for staffing events (favoring Saturdays and high-traffic venues such as Sandlot soccer games) and noted the uncertainty of final fundraiser dates; organizers said they will confirm when the host group finalizes plans.
The discussion concluded with members agreeing to coordinate inventory and event staffing ahead of the celebration and to publicize opportunities for volunteer help. The commission set the next regular meeting for June 4.
