Chamber asks Parks & Rec to support return of Eastport Holidays light contest

Lisa Stephens presented the Chamber's request and said the Chamber would like to restore a contest for both residential and commercial participants. Stephens asked whether Parks & Rec would assist with promotion, tracking participants, judging or creating a voting system, and awarding prizes.
Committee members did not set a prize or confirm how prizes would be funded during the meeting; Stephens said the Chamber was seeking the committee's input on prize amounts and potential funding sources. Two tentative dates were proposed for the contest: Dec. 13 or Dec. 20, 2025.
The committee encouraged staff to consider how Parks & Rec could support promotion and logistics and said members would continue to discuss prize funding and judging options at a future meeting.
