Atkinson selectmen approve fire scheduling software, ambulance provider contract, tax credits and donations

Atkinson — The Board of Selectmen on Feb. 9 approved several administrative contracts and routine items in unanimous votes.
Selectman Peter Torosian moved to switch the Fire Department’s scheduling software from the town’s current vendor ('lad tech') to 'slate' at a cost of $3,062 and a 7% annual increase; Selectman Wendy Barker seconded and the motion passed 4-0. Torosian also moved that the town enter the New Hampshire ground ambulance provider standing commercial-healthcare contracts (Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, UnitedHealthcare and others listed in the document) and authorized Town Administrator John Apple to sign on the board’s behalf; Barker seconded and the motion passed 4-0.
On assessing matters, Barker moved and Torosian seconded approval of two veteran tax credits of $750 each (Map 17 Lot 3 and Map 9 Lot 11); the motion passed 4-0. The board accepted a $315 donation to the Elder Services Transportation Fund on a motion by Torosian and second by Barker, also 4-0. Selectman Torosian moved to approve the Jan. 12, 2026 minutes as amended; Selectman Barker seconded and the board approved. Vice Chair Worden then moved to approve the public hearing minutes of Jan. 15, 2026; the motion passed 4-0.
The board voted to enter a non-public session under RSA 91a:3 II(c); after returning to public session Selectman Barker moved to seal the non-public minutes for 10 years, a motion seconded by Selectman Torosian and approved 4-0. The meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
