The Versailles Village Council authorized an amendment to the Wireline Longitudinal Occupancy Agreement with CSX Transportation, extending the agreement’s term to May 31, 2049 and authorizing payment of $18,000 to CSX for the village’s continued use and maintenance of existing wires or cables along the rail corridor.
Village Administrator Francis reported receiving the amendment from CSX and said the fee for the extended term is $18,000. Council Member Weaver moved to authorize the administrator to sign the agreement and to make the payment; the motion was seconded by Mrs. Dieringer and recorded as passing unanimously.
The minutes do not include a copy of the amended agreement or a breakdown of the $18,000 fee; the motion authorizes the village administrator to execute the amendment and arrange payment.
