Mike Bowers, director of Darke County Economic Development, presented the agency’s 2024 annual report during the July 9 Versailles Village Council meeting. Bowers said the office focused last year on workforce-development programs, completed a county housing study and produced a Small Business Resource Guide to aid local entrepreneurs.
Bowers highlighted several outreach and workforce events scheduled for 2025: Darke County STEAM Camp (July 14–18), Manufacturing Day (Oct. 3) and Darke County Job Shadow Week (Nov. 10–14). Council members heard these items as part of the meeting’s presentations; no formal council action was required on the report.
