Board tables parking, outdoor racking and noise variances for Northern Stamping after operational review request

Northern Stamping’s new representative, Robert Hanel, told the Village of Valley View Planning Board that about 275 people work at the 7750 Hub Parkway facility across three shifts and that the site currently has about 123 parking spaces.
Board members and staff noted overlapping shifts produce a short-term parking deficit during shift changes, outdoor racking and material storage that may be visible from neighboring properties, recurring litter and noise complaints, and that some operations will be moved off-site in 2026, reducing site density. Hanel said the company expects to remove roughly 40 workers (one production line) by the end of the first quarter of 2026 and possibly move 40% of operations over two years.
Planning Engineer Todd Sciano and Secretary Marty Johnston recommended an on-site assessment and walking the property to determine where additional parking or land leasing might be possible. At the board’s request, Northern Stamping granted permission for staff to walk the property.
The Board voted to table all variance requests for the property — including outside racking/material storage and multiple parking and setback variances — to allow staff and the applicant time to document options and return with a revised plan.
What happens next: the Board will perform an on-site assessment, the applicant will provide follow-up plans for parking, and the matter will return to a future meeting for action.
