Administrator Kevin Siferd announced his resignation from the Village of Enon during the council meeting on Aug. 26, 2025, saying he has accepted the role of Village Administrator in Leipsic, Ohio. Siferd's last day in Enon will be Oct. 6, 2025. Council members offered kind words and gratitude for his service.
Earlier in the meeting the council moved into executive session to discuss personnel matters; the executive session began at 6:32 p.m. The council exited executive session and returned to regular order at 7:05 p.m., at which time Siferd made his announcement.
Separately, the council voted unanimously to authorize the mayor to award staff bonuses and pay raises based upon employee evaluations (motion by Rick Hanna, second by Leist). The motion passed with all councilmembers voting yes. The minutes do not specify dollar amounts or which staff positions will receive increases; those specifics were not recorded in the meeting minutes.
During staff reports Siferd displayed photos of park-equipment installation progress, said the village will sell the old Water Treatment Plant generator on GovDeals, reported receipt of an estimate for painting striping on secondary streets, announced the Government Center will close Sept. 1 for Labor Day and noted a blood drive scheduled Aug. 28 from 12:30–6:30 p.m. The council also considered vendor use of Settlers' Park.
