Williams County commissioners approve routine bills and several supplemental appropriations

The Williams County Board of Commissioners completed routine business April 28, approving minutes, the agenda and payment of bills, and authorizing several supplemental appropriations.

On a series of motions moved by Commissioner Bartley E. Westfall and seconded by Commissioner Scott A. Lirot, the board adopted:

- Resolution 26-0215 approving the minutes from the April 23 regular session. - Resolution 26-0216 approving the day's agenda as presented. - Resolution 26-0217 approving payment of the bills (commissioners discussed whether the bills totaled about $108,000 and noted items including seven flak jackets for the Sheriff's Department). - Resolution 26-0218 authorizing supplemental appropriations: $12,000 (Board of Elections, license/support renewal through 2029); $300 (Department of Aging, cover BCIs and other small costs); $400 (County Engineers, ESRI license); and $9,822.03 (Treasurer, first-half Land Bank fee allocation). Each appropriation was moved, seconded, and recorded as approved; Commissioner Terry N. Rummel was recorded not present for the roll calls.

During the meeting staff presented an Engineer 'also signed' item and the Dog Warden weekly report (April 13–19) as informational items. Commissioners also examined damage to an engineer maintenance truck and its cap; participants said the cap may have hail damage and mentioned an estimate of about $4,000 to replace the cap on a 2016 truck. The board recessed briefly to inspect the vehicle before returning and adjourning.

All formal actions included customary open-meeting certification language referencing Ohio Revised Code §121.22 in the resolution text.
