Waynesville council votes 6-1 to cancel July 21 meeting

Councilmember Lyle Anthony moved to cancel the second council meeting scheduled for July 21, 2025. Councilmember Zack Gallagher seconded the motion. On a roll-call vote the motion carried with six yeas (Brian Blankenship, Chris Colvin, Zack Gallagher, Mayor Earl Isaacs, Troy Lauffer, Lyle Anthony) and one nay (Connie Miller).
Finance Director and Clerk Jamie Morley had also asked councilmembers to complete requested State Auditor paperwork regarding conflict-of-interest at the dais before leaving the meeting. No further action on meeting scheduling was taken.
The council adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
