The parish attorney will review the redraft to ensure compliance with state rules; one commissioner noted that De Soto Parish operates under Dillon’s Rule and cannot exceed state statutory limits when creating local ordinance language.
Commissioners reserved detailed review for a future meeting after staff circulates a cleaned, edited draft. The meeting closed with a motion to adjourn.
