Thayne council approves Hokanson Ave. annexation resolution, OKs Ordinance 321 on first reading

The Thayne Town Council on Dec. 21 voted to pass Resolution 2017-12-21 to annex and dedicate property on Hokanson Avenue and approved Ordinance 321 on first reading to adjust the town limits accordingly.
Mayor A. DeLand Lainhart told the council that, under state statute, homeowners in the Bear Hollow and The Meadows subdivisions may be charged 1.5 water shares; he and Clerk Hillstead found the town had been charging one share for some properties and the council agreed to bill those properties 1.5 shares going forward for properties outside the town limits.
Councilman Heward moved to pass Resolution 2017-12-21; Councilman Woolley seconded and the motion carried. Councilman Woolley moved and Councilman Heward seconded approval of Ordinance 321 on first reading; that motion also carried. The ordinance was presented on first reading; additional readings or adoption were not recorded in the meeting minutes.
