Stone Park trustees approve $264,462.89 in bills, authorize pavilion and HVAC work

The Village of Stone Park Board of Trustees approved routine payments and several building projects at its March 10 meeting, voting unanimously to clear $264,462.89 in bills and to authorize work on pavilion masonry and municipal HVAC systems.
Trustee Marco A. Gutierrez moved and Trustee Marco T. Paz seconded approval of bills totaling $264,462.89, which the board adopted on a roll-call vote with all members recorded as voting aye. The expenditure breakdown listed by fund was: General Fund $201,000.01; Motor Fuel Transportation $839.43; and Water Fund $62,623.45.
The board approved a $104,100.00 third draw payment to Vision Construction and Consulting, Inc. for the Pavilion Renovation and Addition Project after Trustee Gutierrez moved and Trustee Nazario Garcia seconded the motion; the vote was unanimous. Trustees also approved E & D Construction Inc. Invoice #0309 for $3,000.00 for pavilion masonry renovations (moved by Trustee Loretta J. Teets and seconded by Trustee Marco T. Paz).
Trustee Loretta J. Teets moved to accept two estimates from Fricold Heating and Cooling: Estimate #35679294 for $7,447.00 to upgrade kitchen and restroom HVAC ducts, and Estimate #35670846 for $20,568.00 for a rooftop HVAC unit serving the Chandelier Room. Both motions were seconded and passed on roll-call votes with all trustees recorded as voting aye.
Clerk Laura Cassidy-Hatchet presented an updated Water Account Billing Report that now separates commercial and residential accounts and said the Office Manager will assume responsibility for producing that report going forward. Cassidy-Hatchet also noted that several employees have filed the mandated Statement of Economic Interest and reminded officials that all filings are due May 1.
Trustee Loretta J. Teets moved, and Trustee Marco A. Gutierrez seconded, to table "One Matter of Personnel" for a closed-session discussion; the motion passed on a roll-call vote. The board then adjourned open session at 6:41 p.m. on a unanimous voice vote.
The meeting was held at Stone Park Village Hall, 1825 N. 32nd Avenue. The board approved these minutes at its March 24, 2026 meeting.
