Trustee Teets moves Stone Park Easter event to March 28; pavilion plumbing bid recommended

Trustee Loretta J. Teets presented the Village of Stone Park’s 2026 Special Events Calendar at a committee meeting on Jan. 27, 2026, and asked that the Easter event be moved from April 3 to March 28 because Village Hall will be closed April 3 for Good Friday. All six village officials in attendance agreed to the date change. Teets also proposed returning the Easter activity to the Stone Park Sports & Entertainment Complex and reverting from the drive‑thru format used during the pandemic to an in‑person Easter Egg Hunt.

Teets confirmed music bookings for the village’s Music in the Park series and outlined proposed dates and times: June 18 (DJ then Dorado Show), July 23 (DJ then Revelacion Autentica), Aug. 20 (DJ then Banda Devaztadora), and a tentative Sept. 17 date (DJ then Orejones de la Sierra). Trustee Simplisio Roman confirmed the schedule details and said he would donate his time and sound equipment to handle event sound management.

On the Pavilion Addition Project, Teets presented Vision Construction’s recommendation to award the plumbing contract to Aqua Bella Plumbing, Inc., citing a bid amount of $57,700.00; two bids were included in the board packet for review. Teets presented the calendar and the contract recommendation for the board’s consideration; both items were noted for action at the evening’s board meeting.

The calendar changes and the pavilion recommendation were presented during the Building and Grounds agenda item.
