South Bloomfield council adopts emergency resolutions, waives readings for Flock Group agreement

The Village of South Bloomfield council on Feb. 3 approved Resolution 2025-03, directing the village administrator and fiscal officer to execute an agreement with Flock Group, Inc., and then voted to waive the second and third readings to adopt it as an emergency.
Tom Ramsay moved for the first reading of Resolution 2025-03 and the motion carried on a recorded roll call. The council then voted unanimously to waive the second and third readings and adopt the resolution as an emergency measure.
Council also approved the first reading of Ordinance 2025-04, which would create a village gym reimbursement program. Amber Murphy moved for the first reading, and the motion carried with unanimous recorded votes. Separately, council approved Resolution 2025-04 (an amendment to Resolution 2025-01) and waived further readings to adopt it as an emergency.
The council recorded unanimous votes on the emergency waivers and adoptions; the minutes show no recorded dissent. The resolutions and ordinance were acted on during the Feb. 3 meeting and will be reflected in the village’s official records.
