Haskell County commissioners approve routine personnel and fiscal items, appoint assessor deputy

The board approved the proceedings from the previous meeting by unanimous roll-call vote. Commissioners approved a juvenile detention service agreement between Oklahoma Juvenile Justice Service and Haskell County and approved the assessor's disaster recovery plan for fiscal year 2026–27. During the public-comment period staff introduced reporter Brooklyn Win as a new reporter who will cover local beats for area newspapers. One speaker noted the court docket schedule for the following day and said the judge and district attorney had agreed to continue cases; county offices would remain open while some employees attend training in El Reno.
The board discussed Resolution 312642, which would amend current Haskell County courthouse holidays, but a commissioner recommended no action after noting the excise board could not meet to sign off; the board took no action on that resolution. The meeting concluded with a motion, second and unanimous vote to adjourn.
