Select Board accepts single paving bid from Allstate Construction

The Town of Acton Select Board accepted a single paving bid from Allstate Construction at its July 9 meeting after the town administrator recapped the solicitation.
The lone bid listed per-ton laid at $97.65, handwork at $185 per ton, curbing at $250 per ton and reclaiming at $0.35 per square foot; the transcript did not specify a tack-per-foot price. Road Commissioner Will Langley recommended proceeding with Allstate’s bid. McGurty moved to accept the bid as submitted and Winchell seconded; the board voted unanimously to accept the bid.
