Fire Department leadership had recommended Specialty Vehicles. During deliberations the Town Administrator relayed that a company representative had warned of rising tariffs but offered to honor the quoted price if the Select Board made a motion by June 30: "if the Select Board made a motion by the end of the month, June 30th, he would honor that price regardless of tariffs," Roux told the board. Board members compared the two bids: the Specialty Vehicles bid met the requested specifications and listed a delivery window of 28–32 months; the lower bid ($623,000) did not meet all specifications and had a longer projected delivery time (about 730 days) and incomplete bid documentation, the board heard.
Select Board member David Winchell Jr. moved to accept Company A (Specialty Vehicles Lifeline Ambulance) at $655,484 contingent on town meeting; Ed Walsh seconded. The motion passed without recorded opposition.
The board noted the purchase remains contingent on town meeting approval and on the Fire Chief and Town Administrator confirming final specifications and delivery terms before contract execution.
