City Administrator Scott Neilson told the council the city received ten statements of qualifications for the City Hall/Fire Station Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR). A shortlist of firms responded to the request for proposals, three firms were interviewed, and Kraus Anderson ranked highest. Don Theisen, owner’s representative, described the CMAR role as delivering the building, hiring subcontractors and managing contracts.
The council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing staff to conduct contract negotiations with Kraus Anderson and to execute contracts following successful negotiation. The resolution directs staff to proceed to contract negotiation; final contract terms and schedule will be set during the negotiation process.
