Supervisors confirm road supervisor, adopt two resolutions and award turf-care contract

The Upper Hanover Township Board of Supervisors used part of its May 10 meeting for administrative actions including a personnel confirmation, two formal resolutions, a contract award and a small capital purchase for park amenities.
The board amended the agenda and voted 5-0 to confirm the conditional offer of employment for Jayme A. Benfield as Road Department Supervisor with a tentative start date of May 23, 2022. The board also adopted Resolution No. 2022-33, which amends a prior resolution and confirms Anne W. Klepfer as the Open Records Officer, and Resolution No. 2022-34 establishing authorized-use and storage policies for signature-imprint stamps bearing the signatures of Steve R. Rothenberger, Ben Fiorito and Anne Klepfer; both resolutions passed 5-0.
Supervisors awarded the township's 2022 turf-care contract to Moyer Indoor/Outdoor for $5,703.00 by unanimous vote. The Open Space, Parks & Recreation committee also moved to add purchase of a community free library box for Camelot Park (approximate cost $569.90 plus shipping); the board approved the purchase and noted a volunteer will monitor and maintain the box. The park board reported that Cathy Fried will step down and that a replacement applicant is under consideration.
These administrative actions were recorded in the meeting minutes and will be implemented by township staff as specified in the minutes.
