The Joint Finance & Executive Committee handled several procedural and routine items at its May 4, 2022 remote meeting.
The committee approved the April 6, 2022 Joint Finance & Executive Committee minutes on a motion by Mike O’Brien, seconded by Jacki Murphy; the minutes recorded one abstention by John Zicconi.
There were no Act 250 or Section 248 applications for review. In a legislative update, Executive Director Charlie Baker said the House had removed a proposal that would have involved CCRPC in airport governance; he noted discussions continue on Act 250, the Omnibus Housing bill and the Economic Development bill and that $1.65 million is slated for RPCs statewide pending final legislative outcomes.
Charlie also reviewed the draft May Board meeting agenda and reminded members that two public hearings had been warned; items slated for Board action include the TIP amendment and the FY23 UPWP and budget. On personnel, Regina Mahony reported a high number of applicants for the Business Office position; Forest Cohen said the candidate pool had been narrowed from roughly 14 applicants to about four finalists.
No executive session was required. Chris Shaw moved (seconded by Mike O’Brien) to adjourn at 7:28 p.m.; the motion carried unanimously.
