Port Clinton ARB approves exterior paint and new signage for The Verve

The Port Clinton Architectural Review Board on June 12 unanimously approved exterior work and signage for The Verve, a downtown business owned by Alexia Adkins.
Board member Nicole Kochensparger moved to approve the May 22 minutes and then moved the approvals for The Verve’s exterior paint and signage; board member Rachel Fall seconded, and the motions carried without objection.
Alexia Adkins told the board she will "pressure wash, prep and paint the top portion of the building the same white color as it is currently" at 132 E. Second Street. She also said the building’s sign will be changed from “The Verve, Eclectic Local Goods” to “The Verve, Wholesale & Production,” keeping the same font size and color as the existing sign. Adkins additionally requested new vinyl signage for the storefront at 107 S. Madison Street after the retail portion of the business relocates there; the board approved that request.
Approvals at the meeting were limited to the paint and signage as presented; no changes to the building footprint or other exterior elements were approved. The board did not attach additional conditions to the approvals on record.
The meeting also included routine administrative items and a note from board members about incoming applications expected from Moon Wicks and Three Legged Dog. The ARB is scheduled to meet next on June 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
