Kettering honors neighborhood pride award winners after more than 450 nominations

Lindsay Curry, who organized the program, told council the awards recognize property owners who made significant improvements to the appearance of their homes or businesses or who consistently maintained their properties. Staff said more than 450 nominations were received and winners were selected from each of the city's 12 districts, with one commercial property recognized each month and a separate sustainability award.
Winners were invited to a reception on the lower level of the government center and were asked to stand as their properties appeared in the video. Council thanked the volunteers and committee co-chairs who supported the program.
