Natrona trustees approve memorial bench at Rotary Park, add permits to consent agenda and report contract progress after executive session

The Natrona Board of Trustees approved by voice vote a request to install a memorial bench at Rotary Park and added several lease and lot permits to the consent agenda during its regular meeting. Chairman North presided.

During the meeting, trustees voted to approve minutes from the prior meeting (mover: John; seconder: Stacy) and to add signed lease and lot permits received by staff to the consent agenda. Stacy moved and Justin seconded the consent-agenda action; the board approved it by voice vote.

The board also voted to enter an executive session to discuss litigation and contracts; Bill moved to enter executive session and Stacy seconded. After returning to open session, trustees said they had "made a decision to move forward on a contract" and had discussed "potential litigation" but provided no additional public details.

On a separate item, the board considered a family request to install a bench as a memorial at Rotary Park. Michael (staff) described the proposed placement on county property along the west side of a trail switchback and noted the bench material carries an approximately 50-year warranty. Stacy moved that the board allow installation if placement is approved by Michael; John seconded the motion and the board approved it by voice vote.

Michael also reminded permit holders that lot-permit payments were due June 8 and said staff will send reminder letters warning of breach-of-permit penalties and possible termination if payments or signed permits are not submitted.
