CCRPC schedules four equity training sessions for staff and advisory committee

Sue McCormack of The Creative Discourse Group presented a four‑part equity training series to the CCRPC on June 1, describing a sequence designed to help staff and advisory members have productive conversations about equity, understand culture change, explore power dynamics, and improve community engagement.
The sessions are scheduled on Zoom from 5:30–7:00 PM on July 26, Aug. 30, Sept. 29 and Oct. 24, 2022. McCormack said sessions will combine brief content with facilitated conversation and practical tips that participants can use in outreach and community work. The trainings are targeted toward the Equity Advisory Committee and staff, with board members invited to attend at their discretion.
Committee members asked about session format, outreach and how to engage broader community members; McCormack said larger public sessions and additional community engagement work could follow once the core training builds internal capacity.
