Burbank council approves routine motions, hears public concerns on speeding and zoning

Public comment highlights: John Rutter asked the council to address speeding on Henrietta and suggested speed bumps; council voted to get pricing on four speed bumps. Michael Graves asked that residents be able to view meetings from home (he referenced Facebook Live) and requested public records related to zoning violations at 215 E. Middle St., 231 Mill St., and 146 W. Middle St., and requested records of a November meeting with the Sheriff and attendees. Dan Wiley Sr. asked when a sidewalk case at 215 E. Middle St. will go to court. Council did not resolve those record requests or provide a court date during the meeting.
Next steps: Council will review revised procurement bids for waste hauling and discuss grant opportunities and storm-sewer bids at the February meeting; the Records Committee meeting is rescheduled for Feb. 5 at 6:50 p.m.
