Council recommends OLCC approve Lucky Crow Farm Stand liquor license

Sergeant Mike Stra presented the Monmouth Police Department’s background review and staff recommendation for a liquor-license application from Lucky Crow Farm Stand, a proposed farm-stand-restaurant at 159 Main Street West.
Stra described the business model as a local farm-stand combined with prepared southern-inspired dishes and a selection of beer, wine and cocktails. He told council members his background investigation "hasn't identified any areas of concern" and recommended the council forward a favorable recommendation to the Oregon Liquor & Cannabis Commission (OLCC).
Councilor Kerry moved to send a recommendation in favor of approving the liquor license; Councilor Oers seconded. A roll call was taken: Councilor Kerry, Councilor Ost and Councilor Rididgeway recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed by voice/roll call (recorded as 3–0).
Council members welcomed the potential new business and noted a similar presentation is expected for other applicants in the future.
