West Forks assessors approve minutes, review town finances

WEST FORKS — The West Forks assessors met Jan. 21 and approved the previous month’s minutes and the warrant, and they reviewed a detailed treasurer’s report showing account balances across town funds.
The board recorded attendance of Jim St. Laurent, Lynda Grant, Leon Duval, Lloyd Trafton and Denise Rancourt. A motion to read and approve the prior month’s minutes was made by Lynda Grant and seconded by Leon Duval; the vote was recorded as all in favor. The warrant to disburse town funds was approved by unanimous vote.
The treasurer’s report presented the following balances: Road account $13,164.99; School 2024 unexpended balance $10,063.01; Transportation $42,634.32; Tuition $28,000.00; Cemetery account $258.17; Fire Department reserve account $52,764.18; Community Benefit Grant $2,500.00; FEMA Grant $19,996.38; Scholarship CD $14,723.42; Durgin Cemetery CD $10,218.59; General Fund CD $175,000.00; General Fund $155,784.35; and a checkbook balance of $140,102.39.
The board acknowledged the report and approved and signed the warrant. The meeting record shows no objections to the financial report or the warrant vote.
The assessors adjourned after routine updates and the meeting’s remaining business.
