Buckeye Lake Village Council adopted Ordinance 2024-46 on Aug. 15, 2024, awarding the bid for storm-sewer improvements on West North Bank Road to J&J Schlaegel Inc. The council voted 5-0 to suspend the rules and immediately adopt the ordinance under a declared emergency.
Council President John Lemmon called the special meeting to order at 5:37 p.m. After the ordinance was introduced, Councilor Tom Wolfe moved to suspend the rules; Councilor Douglas Keener seconded. The roll-call vote in favor was Cable, Green, Keener, Lemmon and Wolfe.
Following the suspension, Councilor Douglas Keener moved to adopt Ordinance 2024-46; Councilor Tom Wolfe seconded. The adoption passed on a roll-call vote of 5-0. The ordinance awards the contract to J&J Schlaegel Inc. and authorizes the mayor to execute the contract consistent with the submitted bid, alongside a declaration of emergency to expedite implementation.
The ordinance text in the meeting packet (introduced by the council) identifies the project as "West North Bank Road storm sewer improvements" and directs contract execution consistent with the awarded bid.
