Converse County approves $3.76M in April warrants, $1.2M shooting-range contract and other fiscal actions

Other fiscal actions included: an amendment to the FDL Consulting professional services agreement increasing the project fee by $71,442; approval of State of Wyoming easement applications under House Enrolled Act 59 for portions of CR13, CR29 and CR46; acknowledgment of an FAA Airport Improvement Program agreement to transfer $150,000 in entitlements to Pine Bluffs Municipal Airport; approval of a $6,000 U.S. Forest Service grant agreement for law enforcement support through 2030; authorization to redirect previously allocated Wyoming State Fair Foundation funds to $183,577 in Show Center electrical upgrades (City of Douglas to share cost equally); and authorization of three $500-per-semester Commissioner scholarships for 2026-27 (one renewal and two new awards contingent on full-time Wyoming enrollment).
The board also accepted departmental budget presentations from Technical Services, Assessor, Parks & Recreation, Road & Bridge, Library, Memorial Hospital of Converse County, Joint Communications, Public Health and the County Treasurer; no budget line-item appropriations were adopted beyond those described above. Commissioners discussed the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) dust suppression bid exceeding the grant award and indicated willingness to fund the overage in the FY2027 budget.
